Restrictions
Some banks will place limits on:
- Minimum balance that must be kept in the account at any given time.
- The maximum withdrawal for a given period (eg daily withdrawal limit).eg daily withdrawal limit).
Identification Requirements
The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe’s regulations require that a customer requiring a bank account appears in person if they are local in Zimbabwe. For customers living abroad your are required to provide:
- Notarized Passport ID.
- Bank Reference.
- Proof of Address by way of an original Utility Bill or Bank Statement.
These will need to be posted by Registered mail or document express such as FEDEX, DHL.
